The Muslim leadership of Connecticut strongly condemns the attempted bombing in Times Square on Saturday May 3rd. We are grateful to all individuals, especially the outstanding efforts by the law enforcement authorities in averting a tragedy. As we know little about the individual and the investigation we together with all Americans await a thorough investigation to give us answers to the many questions we all have.
American Muslims denounce all attempts to destabilize our country. As part of the American fabric, we want all Americans to live in this country in peace and security. For American Muslims this is both a religious obligation and a duty as citizens of this nation.
